12/30/2010 Update - 37 Weeks

Everything looked and sounded good at today's appointments. Just by guessing Emma weighs between 6 and 8 pounds. She's been really active today, too. I asked to have my cervix checked today because I've been having some pressure in the pelvic area. I'm not dilated very much at all (1/2 centimeter) but the cervix is soft. Look for another update on Monday. I am 37 weeks 3 days pregnant today. Hopefully will know on Monday on the date of the induction.

36 weeks and 2 days update

Today I'm 36 weeks and 2 days pregnant. My appointment was in Woodbury, MN today. I had two contractions that I didn't feel during my non-stress test and the variability of Emma's heart rate was really good. Below are the ultrasound pictures from today.

She has her foot by her head. She is head down and sitting low.
Profile shot with her hand by her mouth and nose, again. I think this little lady may be a thumb or fist sucker, but only time will tell.
This is her face (the dark brownish gray spot at about center of the picture is one of her eyes)...it's not the best picture.

The doctor today did tell me that they will induce me because of the distance it is for us to the hospital. Induction hopefully will be scheduled at my next appointment with them - MN Perinatal (January 3rd). The doctor said they'd induce me at 39 weeks (if I go that long). I hope I can make it that far and see if they'd do the induction during the later part of week 38.

I'm feeling pretty good and hopefully we can be ready for our little ray of sunshine when she comes (whether it is on her own terms or by induction).

Today's Update

Emma's Nose, Mouth, and Chin (35 weeks 4 days).
Emma's profile (35 weeks 4 days)...this picture didn't scan the best.

The tests today went good although the Non-Stress Test took longer than we thought it would. Everything looks good with Emma. The OB ran the Group B Strep test today as well, so waiting on that result (should have early next week). Our next appointment is on the 22nd in Woodbury, MN at the MN Perinatal Clinic. We're getting excited (along with anxious and nervous) for her arrival. Just praying that the weather cooperates and no more big snow storms this winter.

Update

Well...since it's been a while since I've posted on our blog and we have some big news...I figured there's no better time to start a new blog. (By the way...I hope to add more of the wedding pictures to the other blog soon.)

On May 21, 2010, we found out that we're happily expecting a little one. The following week I went in to my doctor to have the pregnancy confirmed.

In early June we had our first ultrasound to determine how far along the pregnancy is. At that time...it was 8 weeks and 1 day. (See picture below.)

These three pictures are from the ultrasound I had at 19 weeks and 3 days. They couldn't tell us for sure what we're having as the little one did not want to cooperate. The top picture is a profile shot of the baby, middle picture shows the little one's legs crossed, and the bottom picture shows a little hand and arm up by the baby's head.

This picture is our little girl (just found out) at 25 weeks and 1 day. Again her little hand is up by her head.

At 33 weeks and 4 days the top picture shows her face (nose, mouth, and chin), the middle picture is her little foot (which measured 6.66 cm), and the bottom picture is another view of her face.

As of right now, I am sitting here writing this at 35 weeks and 2 days...just under 5 weeks from our estimated due date of January 17, 2011.
